Awakening to Sanity, website of Lama Lhundrup.

monks from diff. traditions
Lama Lhundrup (third from left) is a skilled German teacher who has practised largely in the Tibetan tradition, though he started with Burmese Vipassana (like me, with Don Porter at Splatts House!). His manner of teaching is friendly, engaged and intelligent. My personal interest in his work is with his integration of his long experience of Mahamudra with studies of the Pali Canon. For many years Lhundrup was responsible for the teaching on three year retreats in a Karma Kagyu monastery in France inspired by Gendun Rinpoche, but has recently disrobed as a monk in the interest of reaching, and drawing from, a wider audience. I like his approach and wish him all the very best in his new adventure! (More about Lhundrup here)

Vessantara's web site

Vessantara has been a lifelong friend and associate - he and I were main movers in the original Vajraloka meditation community from 1980 and he is now one of Triratna's most trusted and experienced dharma teachers. He has recently returned from three years' retreat with his partner Vijayamala at Lhundrup's centre in France and I am looking forward a lot to working with him again. We are co leading a month long 'Total Immersion' meditation retreat later this year with four other Order members (link to that here).
